1970 CZ 250 MX – Side Pipe

This is a low use bike which was disassembled and totally restored by a good friend of mine, John Pavich. John did everything correctly, including: cad plating of all of the original fasteners, having the dents removed from the pipe by a specialist before having it re-chromed and locating the period correct NOS Barrum tires.

Roger De Coster and Joel Robert rode these bikes for the CZ factory and Brad Lackey was known for his campaign on a side pipe CZ. Brad was also known to fasten a fake “White Peace Dove” on the handlebars and ride with it during the National Races to protest the Viet Nam War. CZ’s are bullet proof bikes which contributed to the eventual close of the British four stroke factories in the early 1970’s.
