1971 Penton 125 Six Days

In 1967, John Penton struck a deal with the Austrian company KTM, a manufacturer of bicycles and mopeds, to build a small number of 100 CC and 125 CC Penton designed Motocross and Enduro motorcycles.

Using his many years of Enduro/Six Days Trials experience, John designed a lightweight and smooth handling yet powerful motorcycle to compete in the world Six Days Trials Events. In their debut year of 1968, Pentons sold well and won several gold and silver medals at the ISDT Events. The bikes were also used successfully as motocross bikes in the States. In 1977, John Penton sold Penton to the KTM factory and KTM’s, to this day, dominate the Enduro scene. John is now in his 80’s and still works on his farm in Amherst, Ohio every day.

This Penton was found in a plumbing shop in Montana in fair shape and the restoration took just under 6 months to complete. It has all of the original Penton components including the Metzeler tires and she runs perfectly.
